Missionary Trip - Summer 2016

July 13, 2016 by Adelina Alanis Christensen (Register to contact)

August 6th. My Birthday! I'll have been given the gift of being chosen to represent my Chapter part of the International Educators/Altruistic Sorority I'm a member of, ADK Epsilon Pi - Texas. At the Missionary Trip to South Dakota. From August 6th - 10th. We will be dedicating a Book Mobile to the Lakota-Sioux Indian Reservation. Along with filling their schools with much needed books as well. They were our winners this year for our major volunteer/missionary help to others in the U.S. and Abroad. We have raised funds in the past and built two schools. One in Vietnam, and one in Peru. This program in the Sorority is called World Understanding. :) Recently this past June I was asked to volunteer, and serve on the Texas State World Understanding Committee at State Convention.

Serving 3rd. term as Hist. C. Commissioner

May 22, 2015 by Adelina Alanis Christensen (Register to contact)

Late Spring is off to a busy start at my school, and in Grayson County. I am begining my 3rd. two-year term as a Grayson County Historial Commissioner. This is a volunteer position, but your asked to serve from the Mayor of your community. My late husband Gordon and I bought an Historical Home in the community. Built in 1907, the home has a State Marker, and is know as The Martindale-Lacky-Hudgins House. I still own this home, it is a great weekend place to get away in the country.

Pilgrimage to Ireland

April 2, 2015 by Adelina Alanis Christensen (Register to contact)

In March/2015 (spring-break) I had an oppurtunity to visit the beautiful country of Ireland. On a 8-day pligrimage through my church. There were 54 of us on this trip, and yes, I thought Ireland was as beautiful as the pictures I've seen, and as I imagined it to be. Hope to vacation, and visit this country again.
